Events
Throughout the year, the SFEA holds conferences and professional workshops for the benefit of its members. We also attend the Summer Leadership Conference with the rest of the NEA and student programs from across the country.
In our professional workshops, we cover interviewing skills, teacher preparation, classroom management and organizations, teaching strategies, stress management, diversity training and much, much more. Professional trainers in the FEA, AFT and NEA are ready to help you.
The SFEA also participates in Community Outreach events where student members can work alongside peers and working professionals to make positive differences in communities across the country.
We are excited to announce the 2009 NEA Student Program Leadership Conference!
Where: San Diego, CA
When: Friday, June 26-Monday, June 29
What: Four days of professional development workshops, speakers and a special Outreach to Teach project at a local elementary school.
Cost: $100 Registration Fee; $170/night plus tax (12.5%) double occupancy + $25/night for each additional person; $200-300 Flight
There is one night that dinner will be on your own, all other meals will be provided. All costs will be the responsibility of the individuals, but SFEA will make ALL reservations (BESIDES airfare).
